“Angela” is a jazz composition by American pianist and composer Bob James. Originally written for a scene in the TV series Taxi, the producers loved the piece so much that it became the show’s official theme song. Released in 1978 on James’s album Touchdown, “Angela” is widely recognized for its warm electric piano sound, mellow groove, and laid-back, introspective melody. It has since become one of Bob James’s most iconic recordings and a staple of smooth jazz and fusion playlists worldwide.
